Department of Labour and NOSA have now recognised that a large percentage of incidents are due to machine neglect. As Lifting Equipment ages, so they become more dangerous to operate if they have not been properly maintained. To combat this problem, it is law that all machines have an Inspection. Register and be inspected every six months. An Inspection Register of all Lifting Equipment must be kept and made available for inspection by the Department of Labour, at all times.
